The Bulova Hack (Reference 98A255) is a modern release introduced on December 9, 2019, with wider availability beginning in 2020. Part of Bulova’s Archive Series, it draws direct inspiration from historic military timepieces, particularly the Bulova 3818A field watch developed for the U.S. Army in the 1950s, while the “Hack” name itself dates back to World War II, referencing watches like the A-11 that allowed soldiers to stop the seconds hand for precise synchronization. This model is powered by a Miyota 82S0 automatic mechanical movement with a 42-hour power reserve and is housed in a 38mm gray-toned stainless steel case measuring 13.5mm thick with an 18mm lug width. It features a black dial with luminous hands and markers, accented by a red inner 24-hour track, and is fitted with a military-green leather NATO-style strap. A domed mineral crystal protects the dial, and the watch is water resistant to 30 meters (approximately 100 feet), making it a practical yet historically inspired everyday timepiece.
